McKensie Felix - Orc Soldier Color

I really need to desaturate some of the colors in this, but I ran out of time. Critique welcome!

Alexa Ulmer- Final Orc Colored

Wanted to give him a new pose, but everything else I tried to draw him in didn't look as good. Finally got his face the shape I wanted. Still got to work on this one, but I'm happy with what I did and learned!

Daniel Blair Orc Color

I started to get a feeling for giving the skin a little warmth towards the end, but the helmet doesn't look metal and the "leather" is pretty weak too.

Tom Gray - Orc Soldier Color

Gabriel Canavarro - Orc Dynamic Color

Mitchell Eastwold - Orc Soldier Color

Another first time for me, hope it holds up to the rest of the class.  Had a lot of fun doing it and watching it improve quite a bit from my original drawing.  Of course, critiques are welcome and I had a great time in class! Hope to see all of you next year.

Nick Simmons - Dynamic Color

First Time coloring in photoshop, interesting process. Had some fun with it but had trouble taking it to the "next level".

Tara Albanese : Colored Dynamic Orc

Michael Whitmer - Colored Dynamic Pose

My first time doing stuff in color.  It was pretty fun.

Katherine Shelton - Orc Soldier Dynamic Color

Any feedback is always welcome.

Chris Rippey- Orc Soldier Dynamic Color

Talin Tanielian - Dynamic Color

Giselle in Color! All the screws, nuts, bolts, and also her helmet are crafted by melting copper pots and pans. Let me know what you think! Have a nice break :)

Tyler Hawks - Orc Dynamic Color

Feedback would be great. I've been stuck on how to take it to the next level. What's the best way to soften the color relationships to add gradients. Here's an example about what I'm talking about at about 5:45:

Which tools in Photoshop is this person using during the last quarter of the clip?

Tyler Pratt_Orc Weapon (Redo)

Hey guys.  I re-did my orc weapon.  I tried to be detailed, so feel free to zoom in and check it out.  I'm really pretty proud of this one.  Also, even though the semester is ending, I would still love critiques and comments for the future!  Thanks!

Franziska Wischmann- Orc Color

It's just a little under 7MB, from the Steam DOTA 2 Workshop forums!

DOTA 2 Workshop

for those of us too poor/constricted with time for figure drawing classes

http://www.posemaniacs.com/?pagename=randompose

gesture drawing, poses, negative space its a great way to work on your anatomy if you cant take a class
Some crazy dynamic poses and it shows allll the muscle groups as well as crazy different body types for both genders

Samuel Reyes - Orc Soldier Colored

Leather, cotton, and metal helmet!

With the added light source gradient Mark said to add. Wasn't sure how strong to make it.

Tyler Pratt_Soldier Dynamic Grayscale (fixed)

Talin Tanielian -- Greyscale Re-touched

Fixed her up a bit! Added some more detail to the skirt, tried out more planar rendering (mostly on the face), upped the highlights, and changed her eyes/mouth to look a bit more ferocious. Critique away! :)

Characters for our master's thesis game

Thot I would share with everybody what I've been doing for homework

Say hello to the incomprable Paul Felix

Paul Felix is probably one of the most respected and envied visual development artists working in the animation industry today... Somebody posted a series of perspective lessons he penned some years ago and they are fantastic... Since our landscape section is coming up soon, how do you say?... read thru these!  I beg of you, read thru these! For the love of all that is geeky, read thru these!  have I made my point... if not read thru these, thank you :)
